Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara

Majolica Majorca has finally released a new mascara, Lash King.
Well not that new anymore. It was new when I bought it last December hahaha
The packaging was what caught my eye. So pretty!

From Sasa:
Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara contains rich fiber and Volume Up Wax make glossy, pine needle-shaped lashes with abundant volume and length. Strong against humidity, it maintains the lashes’ curl all day long. As it is water-proof, sweat-proof and tear-proof.
Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara catches even tiny lashes from their roots. Lashes are bitten between the balls and sharp triangular bunches are made. It pushes up making beautiful curls without clump.
Uh what??? I posted the above just so you all could have a good laugh at the nonsensical Engrish bwahhahaha

The brush is pretty basic. You can see that the formula has a lot of fibers. Maybe too much.
Also, the formula is much drier & waxier than the formula of the very popular Lash Expander Frame Plus.
I foresee this mascara drying up pretty quickly and not lasting the standard 3 months.

Compared to Lash Expander Frame Plus, Lash King volumizes better.

Like the Lash Expander Frame Plus, Lash King is great at holding the curl.
Does not smudge and is very waterproof.

But because there are so many long fibers in the formula, the fibers flake a bit more. You have to be a bit more conscious of this throughout the day or you could end up with fibers under your eyes D:

It is a pretty good mascara since it does a good job at lengthening and fanning out the lashes. I prefer a bit more volume though.
Not a HG mascara but I do prefer it over the holier than thou Lash Expander Frame Plus that everyone seems to love. Lash King provides a fuller effect.

Lash King can be found on Sasa.

A few months ago, Evie and I decided to do a swap. It took us months before we could get everything and send it. Mainly because we are Asian and kept waiting for a sale to come along hahahaha

She sent me so much stuff!

Have been wanting to try out the Integrate lip products for quite some time.
She sent me a Canmake lipstick too.

Canmake powder & bronzer
Biore sunscreen (this one is a favorite amongst many)

Snacks!!
The TimTams are so good. Have been trying to ration them since they aren't sold here lol
Ermahgerd love the Hello Kitty bandages XD
Some candy was also sent but they have been devoured long ago.

Thanks for errrrthang Evie!!! ^3^

Typical Super Junior video lol
But I don't find this song as catchy as their other ones. I don't think there will ever be one as annoyingly catchy as Sorry Sorry XD

VOV Castle Dew Diacut Eyes 9 Colors: BE906 Airy Bloom Dia

This palette was from a Gmarket order I made loooong ago.
I had originally ordered two VOV Castle Dew palettes off of Gmarket but this was the wrong one that was sent to me. Gmarket did refund my money so yay.
I seriously thought things would get lost in translation and I'd never get my money back!

This is the Diacut Eyes 9 Colors in BE906 Airy Bloom Dia (seriously, can these names get any weirder? o.O)

I am not one to ever want to wear pastel eyeshadows. The horror of looking like a cheap Asian hooker makes me run far away when I see light blue shadows in a palette.
But since I am stuck with this palette, I may as well see if I can make it work...

The texture and pigmentation are the same as the other Diacut Eyes palette I own, so I won't bore you with the same info here.

1st row swatched (left to right):

2nd row:

3rd row:

Even though I am not particularly fond of the colors in this palette, I am glad that the quality of this palette is consistent with my BE901 Planet Diamond (reviewed here) palette.
A lot of brands have palettes that vary in quality and pigmentation.

I have used this palette a few times and am glad to say that the pastel shades are quite wearable! I don't look like cheap Asian prozzie. Yay!!

Did anyone what the Olympics Closing Ceremony? Most epic few minutes was the Spice Girls performance XD
Can't find a good cut of their performance (which was wayyyy too short in my opinion).

Weekly Photo Challenge - Hey, How Was Your Week?

Yumeko's Weekly Photo Challenge has come around another week. It's ridiculous how quickly each week passes. My days of the week are totally blurred due to work =[ basically everyday feels like Monday hahahhaa

Anywhoooo on to photos!

1. Something you ate this week.
I actually ate a lot of things this week XD
Went with coworkers to stuff our faces with Korean food after work one day.
Also had pork belly ramen another night.

Salads at some fancy cafe in SF
Followed with some cheesecake because lunch was just too healthy.

2. Something you bought this week
Shockingly I have not bought any clothes or makeup in a very long time. I never have time to go shopping anymore!!!
So...only things I've bought are food related items hahahha

3. Something you wore this week
Purple Rimmel Union Jack palette from Tall Judgy (Jian) XD
Lots of leopard print: H&M scarf & J. Crew t-shirt

4. Something you read this week
Just started reading this, written by the author who wrote the Shopaholic series. Quite funny and not intellectually challenging at all lol
It's no Crime and Punishment that's for sure.

5. Something that made you smile this week :D
Got a package from Evie!!! All the way from Singapore. Thanks Evie!!
Spent a rare day off in SF and the weather was super nice. Also saw where the future Uniqlo store is gonna be!!!
Went wine tasting.
It was my dad's birthday so I got to eat some fobby birthday cake. Yay!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really want to watch this movie. I loved all the Bourne movies because Matt Damon was super badass XD
But I have faith that Jeremey Renner will be equally badass in this one. He's just a bit short, no? hehehe

Weekly Photo Challenge - Summer Must-Haves

This week's Weekly Photo Challenge is all about Summer essentials. Summers here in California can get rather hot but very dry.
I don't ever have to deal with any humidity (which I am thankful for). However, when it gets super hot makeup will start to melt no matter how dry the air is hahahha
Here are my must-haves!

1. Base Makeup [sunscreen, foundation, powder, etc.]
Diorskin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup: It's very thin but has great coverage. Lasts all day but doesn't cake up. I believe this is discontinued but they have a new version which I haven't tried before.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation: Formula is very similar to the Diorskin. Thin but great coverage.
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream: It goes on very cool and light. Feels great on a hot day. It contains a high water content so it's great for the hot and dry CA weather.
Biore UV Bright Face Milk: SPF is an absolute must.
MAC Blot Powder: To keep the face from looking super shiny.

2. Point Makeup [blush, eyeshadows, etc.]
I still use powder blushes during the Summer but love cream shadows because they last longer.
Canmake Cream Cheek
Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek: super cute packaging!
Cargo Cheek Activator: Reviewed it here!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Shadow: Helps eyeshadows last longer
L'Oreal Color Infallibles: easy to use and long lasting
Dolly Wink Liquid Liner: A long lasting waterproof/sweatproof liner is an absolute must.
Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus: A waterproof/sweatproof mascara is also a must. It doesn't get more non-budging than this one lol
Urban Decay Primer Potion: A good shadow primer to prevent your eye makeup from melting!

Nivea A Kiss of Shimmer Lip Balm: Gives a shimmery pink sheen and also has SPF 10
YSL Glossy Stain: Super long lasting but not gross & sticky. The worst thing on a hot day is gloopy & sticky gloss.

3. Sunglasses/Hat etc.
Huge sun hat: bought it on a whim at Target. I rarely ever go outdoors so I've yet to use it & summer is almost over hahahha but I just know that if I ever go to the beach, I'll need it!
Sunglasses: I wear them everyday. Can't drive without them. Love the case this pair came with! In the summer time, I like to wear these brown ones.
Scarf: Like Yumeko, I am obsessed with scarves. I am always buying them regardless of season. I got this orange one at the Gap for less than $10 hehehe

4. Deordorant/Body Spray/Perfume
Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth: I mainly got it because it is rose scented. I don't think it is too effective at minimizing stubble...
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre: My fave summer scent at the moment

5. Other Must-Haves for Summer
Hand sanitizer: Sweaty hands mixed with dirt is gross hahaha
Facial mist: feels so refreshing on a super hot day. I like to take this if I go to a theme park.
Sheet masks: Feels super cooling and refreshing after a hot day. Because it's pretty dry here, definitely need to rehydrate the skin more.
Blotting papers

Feel free to join the Weekly Photo Challenge!
Sorry I am always super late though. Work is stupidly insane these days so it's hard to find time & decent lighting *whines*
But thanks for reading!

New Beast song! The video is so stupid and unrealistic though hahaha

Shiny Fings From The Fushigi Shop!!

Every so often I wander over to Yasumi's online shop, The Fushigi Shop, to see what sorts of lovely items she has in stock. She is constantly updating her shop with beautifully handmade jewelry, hand sewn items, etc.

After oggling for quite some time, I ended up getting a couple of very unique items :D
I love her packaging!

I knew this bag was made for me when I saw it XD
LE Liberty x Hello Kitty fabric was used to create this pouch. Andddd it's purple!

So much lovely detailing. I am almost scared to put anything in it. Too pretty!

Fully lined and stuffed with some goodies. Thanks Yasumi!!

I also ordered the Simpatico Bracelet. Picked purple...of course ^o^

Excellent quality and workmanship. Made with real Swarovski crystals.

Love that it is adjustable. My wrists are rather anorexic, nothing usually fits hahahhaa

Items from the Fushigi Shop are handmade by Yasumi. Made with lots of love and care! Check it out and see what tickles your fancy :D

The Olympics are still in full swing!
Congrats to the US men's abtastic relay team for winning last night. Yes, I was bored & took a photo of my tv hahahhaha *lame to the max*
Don't judge me!!

I can't stand this song but it's so damn catchy. And this video is pretty hilarious.

You would think these Olympic athletes would get to fly in business class at least. What the hell, economy?! Too cheap, USA. Too cheap.
