Weekly Photo Challenge - All Star [Makeup] Edition

Woohooo another photo challenge!
This week is the All Star Makeup Edition. Check out the All Star Skincare/Bodycare Edition if you'd like :D

1. Super Star: Something you have used for over a year and are still using
MUFE HD Powder: Best loose powder I've tried. Have been using for 3+ years! It's kinda pricey but one container lasts me a year. I only buy it when the Sephora F&F sale comes around once a year hehehe
Biore UV Bright Face Milk: Liquid sunscreen that quickly absorbs into my skin and gives a slightly matte finish. It looks like a small bottle but lasts a good few months.
Urban Decay Primer Potion: An absolute must for my oily lids to prevent any eyeshadow from creasing and fading.
Fairy Drops Volume & Curl Burst Waterproof Mascara: My favorite mascara of all time!!! Have gone through at least 7 tubes of this lol
Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner: Super pigmented and easy to use. No smudging!

2. Fast Rising Star: Something you have used for over 6 months and will continue to use
Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact: I got this at the beginning of the year and only use this once in awhile because it's too pretty and I don't want to mess up the design too much. Yeah *lame* bwahhahaa
Fairy Drops Creamy Treatment Base Mascara: Gives an extra boost of volume especially on the lower lashes.
Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick: Pigmented & moisturizing. Also lovely packaging. *win*
L'Oreal Color Infallibles: Super pigmented, creamy, and easy to use!

3. Number 1 Draft Pick: Something you just started using and are loving
Sleek Blush By 3: All 3 shades are gorgeous and easy to wear. Cheap too!
MAC Blot Powder: Recommended by Yumeko & Jian. Works great for touch up throughout the day.
YSL Glossy Stain: Long lasting yet moisturizing
Gosh Cosmetics Volume Lip Shine: Doesn't exactly add volume to my lips but the color is lovely and very pigmented. Not sticky either. Picked this up in London.
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm: Recommended by Jian as well XD Helps makeup last all day long.
Missha Cho Bo Yang BB Cream: Great coverage and long lasting.

4. The Fail: Something you tried recently that doesn't work for you
Milani Liquif'Eye Pencil Liner: I know tons of people swear by this but this smears like crazy on me. It's super pigmented but doesn't last on my waterline very long.
Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream: I got this years ago but tried it again recently. I still hate it hahaha It has good coverage but it looks very cakey and the color is wayyyy too ashy & light. No bueno.

5. The Experiment: Something you bought and are going to try next
Most of these things I got many months ago but still haven't gotten around to trying. *hoarder* ^o^
Majolica Majorca Blush
Bourjois Bronzing Powder: Will start using after I run out of NARS Laguna (which I have hit pan on. Yay!)
Majolica Majorca Lash King: Fairy Drops will dry out soon
Kate Super Sharp Liner: Dolly Wink is started to dry out

In other news, the Olympics have begun!! I am obsessed and watch it every night.
My favorite are the men's swimming events. Tall good looking men with smooth & lean bodies, what's there not to like? Yeah, perving hard bwahahhaha
Gymnastics is also pretty intense. It's probably the only place where I'll see people shorter than me XD

Ya feel me? ^_~

And it wouldn't be the Olympics without those Visa commercials narrated by Morgan Freeman's epic voice hahahha

Do you watch the Olympics? What country do you root for?
I am usually for team USA unless there is someone particularly good looking on another team LOL

P.S. My SkinCareRx giveaway ends tomorrow night! Last chance to join :D

Missha Cho Bo Yang BB Cream

A few weeks ago, Missha had a special promotion where the Cho Bo Yang BB Cream was selling for only $9.99. It usually sells for $45.99. Finding it hard to miss out on a fab deal, I ordered a tube to try.

Blurb from Missha site:
Tri-functional BB Cream that makes your skin radiant and bright with oriental herbal ingredients

Promotes Wrinkle repairing + Whitening + Blocking UV rays (SPF30/PA++).
Containing 3 kinds of precious ingredients such as Korean Wild Ginseng, Cordyceps Sinensis, Velvet and Pure Gold, it creates bright & radiant skin with oriental aesthetic formula. Developed to keep your skin healthy without any irritations during wear. Its long wearing effect provides coverage all day long.

Pure gold on my face?? What a luxury hahahha
The packaging is very pretty and I like the squeeze tube. Very sanitary and easy to travel with.

I ordered shade No. 1 Natural Beige

The Cho Bo Yang BB Cream is very thick and creamy. It has a very light herbal scent. Not overwhelming at all. Quite pleasant but those who dislike or cannot handle any scent whatsoever may still find this too scented.
The coloring is yellow based and actually seems a bit dark on my skin at first glance.

Because the bb cream is pretty thick, it takes a bit of time and effort to really work the product into the skin. It doesn't give me a grey tinge like a lot of BB creams do.
After some blending, shade No. 1 is a pretty good match for my skin.

The coverage is very impressive for a BB cream. It lasts all day and the SPF 30 is a big plus.
And even though it is thick, it does not go on cakey. It covers redness and blemishes well.
But if you are going out at night and going to take photos, I wouldn't recommend this. It'll probably give you a white cast.
It's a bit heavy to wear on very hot days but I am looking forward to using this in the colder months.

A few minutes of pure hilarity to get you all through the week!

P.S. Check out my SkinCareRx giveaway if you haven't yet! Ends June 31st :D

Weekly Photo Challenge - All Star [Skincare/Bodycare] Edition

Sighhhh super late with last week's photo challenge. It's practically Friday again hahahhaa
This week is the All Star Edition!

1. Super Star: Something you have used for 3 years and are still using
Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
Love this cleansing oil. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all and removes stubborn Japanese waterproof mascaras quickly and with ease.

2. The Fast Rising Star: Something you have used for over 6 months and will continue to use.
JUJU Aquamoist Hyaluronic Acid Essence
This is a gel serum that quickly absorbs into the skin. Not thick or sticky at all & no scent. However, this does ball up if used under makeup so I only use it at night.

3. The Number 1 Draft Pick: Something you just started using and are loving.
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
Techinically this is makeup but it claims it can be used as a mask too so it counts XD
It evens out my skin and provides a smooth canvas for my makeup. Oil control is amazing too!

I won this in a giveaway from Alyssa :D
The moisturizer is thick but not greasy and sinks quickly into my skin. Plus it smells like almond extract!

4. The Fail: Something you tried recently that doesn't work for you.
Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Treatment
This didn't do anything bad to my hair but I didn't feel or see any significant repairing results from using this. Usually with a deep conditioning treatment, I expect my hair to feel very moisturized and soft after use.
My hair just felt as if I used any regular conditioner. Maybe my hair is just beyond repair hahahaha

5. The Experiment: Something you bought and are going to try next.
Sexy Look Hello Kitty Body Lotion
Hehehe I got this at 7-Eleven in Taiwan and totally forgot I had it.

Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Serum
Will use after I run out of my hyaluronic acid essence.

Ok, I just noticed I use a lot of rose scented products XD

Cannot wait for the full video to be out :D

L'Oreal Color Infallible EOTD: Midnight Blue

Though I run like hell from light blue shadows, I am quite fond of dark blue shadows. When I am tired of using browns and purples I tend to reach for dark blues.

Luckily L'Oreal Color Infallible in Midnight Blue is sold in the US and permanent. Rejoice!

When swatched, I notice that Midnight Blue has a black base. You can see it when you don't grab enough of the product in one swipe. You can kinda see it at the bottom part of my swatch.
Also, I'm not sure if this is because the US Infallibles are made in the US vs Italy but Midnight Blue is not super crazy pigmented as some other colors are.

I paired it with Inglot AMC Shine 25, an orangey golden shade.

For errrrbody who have asked, yessss my Dolly Wink liner is LE packaging :D
Gifted from Evie ^_^

Fairy Drops Volume & Curl Burst Waterproof Mascara

Like I said before, Midnight Blue isn't super pigmented but definitely not bad. You just have to layer it once or twice to get that vibrant dark blue to show up.

Huzzah for using blue shadow and not looking like Asian prozzie!!

Though I assume prozzies these days have enhanced their makeup skills by now and no longer wear makeup like I imagine them to...

This song is pretty dayum awesome.
The video makes no sense. 4 girls robbed a Versace store and are on the Hogwarts Express???
Also Bom's face is like 5 shades lighter than her legs hahahhaa am I the only one who is weird enough to notice stuff like this?

Weird scarf dance. I'd imagine it'd look a lot cooler and more flowly but it just looks like they didn't check the mirror before getting on stage & all have scarves stuck on their sleeves bwahahhaha

But Dara can really pull off the shaved head look. Good look for her!

Weekly Photo Challenge - Vacation Edition

I am super excited for Yumeko's Weekly Photo Challenge this week since I looove travelling and reading where people have gone.

1. Somewhere you visited on your last vacation
The last place I traveled to was London but that was for work so does that still count???
We all know traveling for work vs traveling for leisure are 2 very very different things hahaha

The last place I went on a real vacation was Taiwan XD

I guess I will post photos about both places!

2. Something you bought on your last vacation
In London I bought quite a bit at Heathrow Duty Free heheee

Oh and this uber cute beefeater S&P set

In Taiwan I got this tiny pair of shoes

3. Something you ate on your last vacation
In London, I bought some ridiculously priced Laduree macarons.

In Taiwan...oh how the hell can I just choose one thing!
Yummy hotpot!

And lots of awesome desserts.

4. A ticket/bill/receipt from your last vacation
Managed to find my plane ticket to London! I usually just toss these or end up leaving them on the plane XD

5. Number one place where you live that you think people should visit
The de Young Museum in San Francisco.
The upper viewing deck of the museum gives an amazing view of the city.
I really love the general area where the museum is located, Golden Gate Park.

The California Academy of Sciences is just across the way as well.

As per usual, if you did this photo challenge, leave me the link and I'll check it out!

Wooyoung trying hard to be sexy and not cute with a few hip thrusts bwahahhaaha
The song is quite catchy!!! But still not the same without the rest of the 2pm members XD

Hope you all have a good week!

Sleek Blush By 3

One of the items I bought when I was in London was the Sleek Blush By 3 blush palette in Lace. Luckily I found it in a Superdrug when I went shopping with Vicky & Jian!

Lace contains 3 shades in the orange/coral family. The shade in the middle is shimmery & similar to NARS Orgasm. The left and right shades are matte.

All 3 shades are very pigmented and flattering on my skintone.
I thought the right coral shade would be difficult to pull off but it's a lovely color on the cheeks. Very different from the other blushes I own.

If you can still find this palette, definitely get it! It's very affordable, I think just a bit over $10USD.
It's the perfect palette for traveling since there are both shimmery and matte colors in 1 palette. The packaging is just like the packaging of the Sleek eyeshadow palettes. Very thin and easy to take with you.

New Super Junior video!
Frankly, it's a bit done and boring. It looks like pretty much every other Super Junior video. Be more creative SM!
But Siwon is still super hot and flashes his abs for a few seconds so I won't complain too much XD

Those in the US, Happy July 4th!!!

L'Oreal Color Infallible EOTD: Golden Mahogany

Yay, another Infallibles post!
When I saw swatches of Golden Mahogany I knew I had to have it. Such a unique color.
So I whined to Nunu and she sent it to me. This color isn't available in the US so am thankful to have Judgy Orangutan enable me :D Ok, I am making no sense to most of you so let's move on...

Golden Mahogany is a dark rusty red.

It swatches super smooth and pigmented. This shade isn't overly metallic or shimmery.

Golden Mahogany is a bit tricky to wear. Worn alone, it gives the impression that one has pink eye.
I decided to use the Liberty London x Hello Kitty palette that Vicky gifted me. Reviewed here!
I used the dusty purple on the lower right corner of the palette.
Also used the light pink shade to blend in the crease.

As usual, purple never lets me down. I seriously use purple way too much. I can't help it, it works with errrthang!!

The dusty purple tones down the vibrant Golden Mahogany. The purple is less vibrant in real life.

Same stuff used as usual:

Fairy Drops Volume & Curl Burst Waterproof Mascara

I love this shade! I always reach for it when I get sick of using my boring neutral shadows.
Unfortunately Golden Mahogany is only available in Canada and UK I believe. It was LE so it might not even be around anymore. But if you happen to come across it, get itttttt!!! *enables*

teeeheheee old skool Shinhwa video!
I remember watching this when it was released & thought it was so cool. Ahhhahahah look at their hair, long with wispy sideburns *face palm*
Still my favorite Shinhwa song :D
