Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel

So here's my review for the product with the longest name everrrr: the Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel. This was also part of my Sasa haul from last month (yes, still reviewing stuff from that haul -_-). I got this from Sasa for $21.10.

Sasa describes this product as a
"hypo-allergenic peeling gel that gently polishes skin for a smooth complexion with mannan and strengthens the skin barrier with the fermented yogurt.
Natural Konjac (Mannan) beads gently exfoliate dead skin cells and impurities with short time of massage.
Sogurty, a specialized fermented yogurt, has anti-inflammatory effects to soothe skin from skin troubles.
Multi berry complex (various berry extracts from raspberries, blueberries, wolfberries, cranberries, and strawberries) delivers abundant nutrition and antioxidants to eliminate harmful free radicals, leaving skin more translucent and bright."
Did you read all that? ...Cause I sure as hell didn't HAHA
Basically it's a gentle exfoliating gel. It has very fine micro-beads. I could barely feel it exfoliating my skin.

It does look like yogurt though...

So...what did I think? The perfect word would be "Ehh" followed with a shrug. I don't hate it but I don't feel like it really did anything to my skin. I prefer my exfoliating products to do just that, exfoliate the hell out of my skin. I want it to get rid of all my dead stuff and make my skin shiny and new. This Laneige Peeling Gel was too gentle for me and I don't feel it really did any "peeling."

My skin didn't really feel all that soft and refreshed after. I'll still use it since it was kind of expensive and since it smells good ^.^ It'll be good to use in between my mega-exfoliating days. I like to exfoliate really really well like 2-3 days a wk, depending on the condition of my skin & whether I remember to or not XD
If you're looking for a super gentle peeling gel or exfoliator, I'd give this a try.

But for me, I'll stick to my St. Ives Apricot Scrub to do all my thorough exfoliating. This stuff works so well! Plus it's so damn cheap, around $3-$4 US, and can be easily found at Target, etc.

Now...for random pictures I took last week ^^

I tried Five Guys Burgers and Fries for the first time last week. I was wondering if I'd like it better than In-n-Out, which is an amaaazing burger place in California. I didn't. In-n-Out won by far ^o^ I know that most people prefer one or the other. And it makes sense. The two places are pretty different.

This is a crappy picture, but I was starving. The toppings are all free so...I just loaded a bunch of crap on there. Mushrooms, grilled onions, mayo...ok it wasn't that much stuff. The quality was good, but it was just "Ehh" (wow...that's like my reaction to a lot of things in this post >.<) It was just pretty....average. Like something a friend would be able to make me at a barbeque.

My friend recently got an ice cream maker so I went over to eat (that's all I ever seem to do...) hahahaha!! She made mango ice cream but used coconut milk instead of regular heavy cream. OMG it was soooo good! The coconut milk made a huge difference. It was so fragrant. Yum yum yum!
The bottom layer was strawberry frozen yogurt she made with Greek yogurt. Everything was made fresh with real fruit.

I'm gonna have to limit my visits to her place from now on or I'll get fat! >o<

ANDDDD...just when I thought I was almost done with my mask reviews, my aunt pays me a visit from Taiwan and gave me this...

Ahhh I ♥ her!! I told her only a couple boxes would be enough since these are so heavy to transport, but of course she wouldn't listen. And she managed to find me a box of the MBD Earl Grey Tea Masks!!!! The lovely Blair blogged about it and made me obsess over them. I LOVE THEM!! ^o^
Side note: Blair's also doing this great Thank You Giveaway so everyone go join!!! You have till July 30th, 2011, 11:59 MST

So happy my aunt also got me more mascaras. I was on my last Fairy Drops mascara & starting to freak out lol!

Expect mask reviews to go on...forever. I don't think I'll ever finish SMH

To those in the US, have a Happy July 4th and enjoy the long weekend!!!!

And...while talking to Miss Queenie and another friend from Canada on Twitter yesterday, I realized Canada Day is July 1st. HAHAHA Leave it to me to be super American and completely disregard other countries' holidays. Sorry sorry!!!
Hope those in Canada have a great Canada Day!!!!

Oh, and I haven't posted anything KPop related in too long (for me at least XD) so here's 2NE1's sick ass new videoooo!

♥♥♥

Oh, do you guys like my Hello Kitty USB? I don't even need a USB but I got it cause it's HK >.> its been just sitting there on my desk for over a year & I admire how cute it is from time to time. HAHAHAHA

Vacation Buys!

Last weekend, I took a quick vacation to LA with some friends. Just needed to be in a different setting! All this job searching and being in the same place for so long was driving me a bit cray cray 0_o I went for 4 days and it was fun to just be somewhere else for a change.

But I'll be honest, by the 4th day, I was ready to leave. I don't think I can live in Southern CA, just not for me -_- I know a bunch of friends & family that love living in Socal, so idk what's wrong w me! LOL To each his (her) own, I guess =\

We didn't do anything special or super touristy since we've all been to LA a million times. Disneyland was way too crowded. Basically...we just ate a bunch of stuff & shopped a lot...with some draaanks in between lol! I realize I pretty much just eat & shop wherever I am in the world HAHAHA

I forgot my camera so I have nothing to share =_= but I'm sure most of you know what Socal looks like. It's really sunny hahaha and there's lots of rich people & nice cars. Never seen so many Bentleys & Aston Martins in my life *_* I wantttt!

Bentley Hunaudieres

Anywayyy...I didn't buy too much stuff since I am unemployed afterall. Gotta have some self control. I only bought stuff when we went to Santa Monica.

Mango is a Spanish brand, I think, and is allllllll over the world. I don't go to the one in SF often for some reason but everytime I visit the one in Santa Monica, I buy stuff. Weird...
They were having a "Father's Day Sale," where everything in store was 50% off. But so much for a "Father's Day" sale, they only had a tiny corner of men's clothes and the rest of the store was women's stuff. Poor men...but I ain't complainin ^o^

I ended up getting these tan linen pants. I've been looking for linen pants for awhile, for no particular reason besides to look cool & relaxed hahahaha but most pants I've tried on are always too damn long! Idk what happened to this pair but they are the perfect length. I tried on another pair in the same size, but in black, and they were about 6 inches too long >.< So I knew this pair was meant to be hehe

They ended up being really really affordable. Only $23.99! Mango has rather odd sizing. I hardly ever find stuff in a size 0 but the size 2 fit me fine. I think it might be European sizing like H&M so it can get a bit confusing.

At the last minute, I also picked up this cotton blue-grey sweater. The pocket detail is so cute! And I like that it is mainly cotton material so it won't get all pilly & linty super easily.

They ran out of x-smalls in this color so I just grabbed a small. It's a bit looser but I don't mind. This was superrrr cheap too!! Only $18.99 XD

If you haven't noticed by now...I never buy anything at full price ^.^ I feel like I'm getting ripped off since it'll just go on sale in a couple weeks. Blame it on the Asian mentality hahahaha

I also picked up this cardigan from Ann Taylor LOFT. This is a really lightweight cardigan w the asymmetrical hem that I really like. I love cardigans like this that you can easily just throw on at the last minute. The material is linen & cotton so it's very light & perfect for summertime. It gets really chilly where I live at nighttime -_-

Buy here!

This was $39.99 after discount, which is pretty steep for me. I'd never spend almost $40 on a sweater! But the store was (and still is) having an additional 40% off all sale items. Yay! So this only cost me around $24 plus tax.

I love the olive color. It'll go great with my tan linen pants. I'll look super relaxed and leisurely! HAHA

Food wise, Socal has pretty amazing choices. There's soooo many delicious places to eat but not enough room in my stomach :'[
We went to my favorite bakery, JJ Bakery, in Arcadia, CA, a couple times during this trip. It's an Asian bakery that sells the most delicious selection of breads & cakes. I am obsessed with cake and they had a million beautiful ones displayed everyday. I wanted to just buy a birthday cake & eat it all by myself ^0^

I saw this adoooorable watermelon shaped sponge cake there one day. I don't know why, but I was completely obsessed by how creative this was and had to buy it to try. But...it was ehhhhh. Idk what I was expecting...it just ended up being strawberry sponge cake w green tea sponge cake for the rind. And some seed shaped chocolate chips. The cake was really soft & delicious though. I just...thought it might taste like watermelon, which would actually be kinda gross hahaha! Guess that teaches me a lesson. Don't just judge something by its appearance lol!

I also got this mango pudding cup. It was soooo good! I'm obsessed with mango pudding. I always order it when I go eat dim sum ^_^ This one was sooo creamy & you could tell it was made with fresh, real mangoes, not that artificial stuff.

So if you live in Socal, or are visiting, and you love carbs, I'd highly recommend this bakery . They have various locations.

And that's all for my not-that-exciting-vacation-post... since I forgot my camera >.<

Café Rolle

I'm surprised people even read my crazy spazzing posts about KPop boy bands hahahaaaaa
Thanks for reading regardless of how weird I am, everyone! ^o^ ♥♥♥

I went to this super cute French café awhile ago and loooved it! (Good) French food is nearly nonexistent where I live unless you're willing to pay an arm and a leg for it in SF. Café Rolle is located in Sacramento, CA (state capital woot! but not really, there's nothing there -_-) and kinda in the middle of nowhere. It's pretty difficult to find, but I found it with my trusty navigator!

The decor is adorable and very much like a tiny french cafe with the red checkered table cloths. I love all the pictures on the wall.

Seating is very limited and they're opened for a very short period of time. I've been wanting to try this place for dinner but they only open for about 2 hrs for dinner hahaha. Aaand they close for dinner on Saturday nights...wth? Guess the French are really not keen on working too much lol! This place is so popular and fills up soooo fast, especially on weekends. I went on a weekday right when it opened so it was still pretty empty. By the time we left, it was around 12pm and was getting packkked.

For lunch, they only sell sandwiches and salads. They're sandwiches are amazing!! The bread is so crispy!!

This time I ordered the Stacy's Favorite which is roast beef with field greens, brie, caramelized onions and, garlic aioli...I think. It was quite some time ago so I can't remember exactly. Clearly, I'm not a food blogger =.=
It's a hot sandwich so the brie was melted and gooey and oh-my-god-so-freakin-deelicious. The sandwich also comes with a side of mixed greens and this delicious mustard dressing. SO GOOD!!! XD

Stacy's Favorite

The sandwich is pretty big and I could only finish half. It is decently priced, I think my sandwich was $8-$9. I took the rest home and ate it for a snack later that day. Still reallyyyyy good! The bread stays crisp.

Okaaay fine, I'll admit that I didn't finish the sandwich on purpose because I wanted dessert hahahaha
Café Rolle has the most amazing crème brûlée!! They have a special variation everyday and on the day that I went, it was blackberry crème brûlée. I looove fruit, especially in my dessert, so I pretty much freaking did a dance when I saw this on the menu >.<

But...to be honest...this was only okaaay. I mean it was really really good, but I liked the original crème brûlée I ordered the first time I ate here. The tart blackberries just didn't really go well with the creamy custardy crème brûlée. So if you go, I highly recommend the original crème brûlée!! ^_^

It's a shame that Café Rolle is so far from where I live. It is about 90 minutes from SF. I used to go to school near Sacramento so it was easier to make a trip there, but now I've moved far awayyyy, back to civilization HAHA

Yelp reviews!

This place was even featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!!
When I went here for the first time, I kept getting a feeling that I'd been there before. Then I realized I saw it on this show. LOL I'm addicted to Food Network!

If you're ever in the area, check this place out!!

Now...I have to go prep for a 2hr interview...It's pretty much the most important interview of my life, so...no pressure >.< Wish me luck errrbody!

Mask Review: O'slee Clear Spa Sleeping Mask + My Eye! and NOTW

Mask reviews continue! No spazzing in this post, so please stay hahahaha XD

I purchased the O'slee Clear Spa Sleeping Mask when I made my Sasa haul last month. Sasa was having a BOGO deal on this so I had to get it >.< hehe.. 2 bottles of these cost me $13.50. Pretty good deal on a mask. The deal is still going on!! It ends June 30, 2011.

I've been using this a couple times a week, switching off with a bunch of other masks I use. (I'm a mask whore =_= I hoard them like crazy) The O'slee Sleeping Mask is just something you put on after you apply all your other skincare produts. It's very convenient for lazy people who don't like to wait around to wash it off & stuff. You just slather it on & go to bed.

The consistency is a thick gel (reminds me of hair gel haha). It takes a while for the product to absorb into your skin and can be a bit sticky if you use too much. You don't need much at all. I usually put this on right after my skincare routine (remember to put some on your neck too! Our necks age too, don't forget ^o^) instead of waiting till right before bed. That way the product has time to go into your skin & you don't leave mask residue all over your pillow -_-

It doesn't have a very strong scent and I didn't have any allergic reactions to it. I woke up the next day to very moisturized and glowing skin. It works pretty well but nothing mind blowing. It doesn't whitening your skin. I feel this will be good in the winter when my skin tends to get drier. The product has a lot of good nutrients for your skin.

All in all, I would say it is a very typical but effective leave-on mask. Quick & easy to use and pretty cheap. My mom is very lazy and loves the one I gave her.

What's weird is that I've no idea what country this brand originates from. There is English on the box (proper English, not that weird Engrish on a lot of Asian products LOL) but I've only seen this brand sold in Asia & on Asian sites. What a mystery! hahaha If anyone knows where O'slee is from, let me know! I always like to know where my makeup & skincare stuff is made in. Just cause I'm OCD like that ~_~

Decided to do a quick EOTD photo before I went out tonight. It's very simple. I used the Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Beethoven. I got this years ago from Sephora but rarely use it now since I've hoarded so much other eyeshadows since then =.=

I used the right most shade, which is a pink-lilac shimmer color, for all over the lid. Followed by the 1st purple shade that's next to the yellow, for the outer corner. Then I just lined by eyes with the darkest purple.

Can't even tell it's purple!! *sigh*

I didn't have a lot of time (late as usual SMH). When I don't have time, I don't line my eyes hahaha it takes quite a bit of time since I like to take it slow & make sure the angles are perfect on both eyes lol (yeah I'm crazy >.<) Then I used my usual HG Fairy Drops Mascara. At the last minute, I decided to throw on some false lashes. I bought a bunch when I went to Taiwan but I rarely use them since applying them is usually a hit or miss for me hahaha Luckily, it went ok this time. Yay!

I noticed the lashes looked too dramatic & obvious after taking the pictures so I kinda just pushed them downward so they weren't so curled.

Holy hell my eye is so creeeeepy!

For the rest of the face, I used my favorite L'egere White Multi BB Cream. This stuff makes my worst skin days look bright & glowing & smooth. And it smells pretty nice hahaha kinda fruity I think...I got mine on Sasa a few months back. LOVE THIS, highly recommend it...but only if you have rather fair skin. This stuff, like most BB creams, only comes in 1 shade -_- which I think is really lame.

For blush & bronzer, I used the Nars Bronzing/Blush Duo in Orgasm/Laguna. A very classic duo that I use when I'm in a rush and can't stand there for 5 min to decide which blush I want to use tonight.

A pretty quick look overall. I was in such a rush I didn't even have time for lipstick/gloss. So I used chapstick LMAO...so the moral of the story is: Plan ahead!! But I know I'll never listen to myself and will forever be rushing out the door for anything hahahaha

For my nails this week, I finally got to use 2 polishes I haven't gotten around to using since I have too many hehe

First I painted my nails with my super awesome Hello Kitty Nail Polish in Blueberry. The packaging is epic, a HK head, kinda morbid but hellaaaaa cute!
The formula on these HK polishes are amazing! I thought it'd be pretty sheer but it was soooo opaque that 1 coat would've sufficed.

I think I was also in a rush that day (story of my life) so the application was a tad fugly -_- my apologies, readers!

Then, since I've been dying to use OPI Silver Shatter since I got it, I just quickly painted a thin layer after the base had dried. This stuff dries sooo fast so it can get gloopy. If you accidentally get too much on a certain area of the nail, that area won't shatter. You can kinda see it on my pinky, a large part didn't shatter. *sad* lol

It dries like immediately and kinda matte. It looks okay but it isn't until you apply a top coat that you go whoaaa so shiny! HAHAHAHA or at least I did ^.^

The picture is semi-blurry. My camera is wonky at times. Apologies again, readers! But I think the blue polish looks so great under the Silver Shatter. It really shows thru the cracks. Love it!

Ahhh it's late and I have to get up in 5 hrs to go on a trip. Will probably be rushing again hahahahha *SMH*

Have a good weekend errrrbody! ^_^

KPop Obsession of the Week: 2-Peeeee-Eeeemmmm HANDS UP!! + Squeeze the Pug's Amaaazing Chanel Giveaway

Warning: lots of spazzing in this post. Leave or skip to the end for Squeeze the Pug's Giveaway if you can't handle it LOL ^o^

2PM IS BACKKKKKK!!! Their album is called HANDS UP

And with a happy concept, not like their usual "I got dumped by the girl, I'm so sad" concept.
And no weird eyeshadow like in I'll Be Back

Whoever came up with this concept better have been fired -_-

I think this will be a success! XD

Everyone looks so good and happy! Except Chansung's hair. I've given up. That boy has never had a good hairstyle...like ever. I think they probably put a clause in his contract that he can't have a flattering hairstyle cause if he did, he'd be perfect and everyone would melt & die just by looking at him 0_0

Hi, I'm Chansung & I ♥ bananas ^.^

And my grease monkey Taecyeon is greasier than ever. *spazzzzz*
So glad he dyed his hair dark again. That weird orange blonde thing was not working >.<

Like my big sexy teeth? XD

Horsing around...literally? SMH Wooyoung

Fake brow ring Taec? Really?

Damn, this brow ring's gonna get me all the gurrrs on the dance floor!

Hands Up if you still ♥ me despite my lame brow ring ^o^

Ok, spazzing's over!

I recently discovered this great blog: Squeeze the Pug!!! She's got such amazing taste and I most of the time I just drool over her gorgeous handbag photos. She's got an amaaazing Chanel collection. I read with envy hehehe

She's so generous and doing this crazy awesome Chanel giveaway. She's giving away such amazing stuff! Can't believe it XD

Loveliness from Japan!! ^.^

If you don't already (and I can't understand why) you should definitely be following and reading the lovely Yumeko's blog. She blogs about the cutest things in Japan, lots of awesome Japanese cosmetics and food and snacks and just cute things with really pretty packaging lol I love Japanese packaging! They can make toilet paper look cute XD

Yumeko also sews these really cute creations such as pouches and brushrolls. She updates her store Tezaiku from time to time and her things always get sold out immediately cause they're just so cute!! There's really no other adjective I can find to describe them hahaha! I don't even like to use the word 'cute' and that's all I can say when I look at her creations ^_^

This time, I managed to snatch up this super duper awesome Hello Kitty pouch XD
Even the packaging is cute. Strawberry tape?! SO CUTE! I wonder how many times I'll use 'cute' in this post.

She also stuck in some yummy Japanese candy. A cool flavored KitKat and some Caramel Milk Candy. If anyone can read Japanese, please let me know what flavor the KitKat is!! I am guessing it is sakura flavored since there's a sakura on the wrapper. But there's also a hat on it so I could be wrong LOL

The pouch is packed in a cute bag (of course) ^-^

Even the tape on this is cute! SMH

Yumeko did just a great job on this pouch. The quality of the fabric is excellent and the print is so cool! I am obsessed with Hello Kitty ( if you haven't already figured that out ^^) and she only made 2 pouches with this print. I was so psyched when I was able to get one ^o^

See how I can't stop using the word 'cute'? It's even printed on the fabric!!

The closure is really unique (to me at least). It's a spring closure. You squeeze the sides to pop it open. It immediately snaps shut when you let go. Nothing will fall out =]

What a pro hehe Yumeko even has her own tags. Baller status right thurrrr

Here's the width of the bottom of the bag.

It's a pretty decent size and will be great as a makeup bag. I don't even want to use it yet cause it's so pretty! Scared I'll get it dirty >.<

Size comparison

Also...Yumeko had a mini Big Bang giveaway and... I WON!!!! I'm obsessed with Big Bang so I was superrrr excited to win these flyers since they're hard to find. hehe can only get these in Japan!!

TOP!!! XD

TOP! 0_o

Can you tell I am in love with TOP!!?!

TOP!!!!!! <3

Thanks for picking me for this giveaway Yumeko!! I'll try my very best not to drool on these hehe

Remember to join the mailing list to Yumeko's store so you'll know when she updates it with new stuff! ^.^
